Message from the Head
Welcome to Daiglen, a small, family school which provides a happy and secure environment for all pupils. Our child-centred approach to learning combines exactly the right balance of challenge and support. We celebrate individual and group successes as children learn the importance of pursuing their ambitions with determination and perseverance. They are inspired to do well both by the infectious enthusiasm of their excellent teachers and by the example of older children who become their role models.

Founded in 1916, Daiglen School is rich in history and tradition and our community is based on clear moral values. Our pupils flourish in this environment and leave as caring, confident, articulate and well-mannered young people, fully prepared for the next stage in their journey through life. The school is built around an elegant Victorian house with much of its stained glass and cornices intact. Modern features include a purpose built gymnasium/hall, art room, science laboratory and ICT suite. It is pleasantly situated on the borders of Epping Forest and is well served by public transport.

Our Ethos
Kindness to others is valued above all and pupils are polite and considerate with each other as well as with adults.

'The strong sense of family and community, underpinned by warm supportive relationships and mutual respect, ensures that all pupils are valued and given the chance to shine.'

Why choose Daiglen?
Choosing a school is arguably the most difficult decision you will make for your child, and one which will have the greatest consequences in his or her life. Most of our pupils come here on personal recommendation from parents of past or present pupils, and on visiting the school, prospective parents are won over by the happy, productive learning environment and by their Y6 guides, who invariably embody the qualities they want to be nurtured in their own children.

'Pupils of all ages show excellent personal development, and are friendly and confident.'

At Daiglen we have a close and mutually supportive partnership with parents.  To find out more about us, please make arrangements to visit the school; you will receive a warm welcome.
