New ICT Suite Opens!
On Monday 12th October the long anticipated ICT suite was completed. The School Governors and The School Council came to the opening. Everyone was really pleased with the new room.
Mrs Bradfield said, ' I am thrilled with the upto- date facilities. We will be able to have more lessons on computers during the week.'
'I am really looking forward to teaching in it because of the space, and the Smartboard will be really beneficial.' Mrs Griffiths.
'It's a great room as we use the computers during the Year 3 and 4's maths lunchtime club.' Brooke Vexler. 'It's bigger than I expected,' Dougie Sayers.

After the opening, the School Council met the Governors and asked many thoughtful questions. They found out about their roles and their reasons for becoming a Governors.
'I hadn't realised that the Governors didn't get paid and they have to fit their duties around their jobs,' Greg Garland. 'I found out that the Governors are interested in different subjects,' Daniel Boyce.
'Some of the Governors told us that they had come to Daiglen,' Max Beaney.

Year 6 visit to theatre
On Wednesday 7th October, Year 6 travelled to London to see a production of Horrible Histories: Woeful Second World War at the Bloomsbury Theatre. It was about two children who were evacuated to Wales, but escaped back to Coventry. It included lots of interesting facts and everyone enjoyed it especially the 3D effects. Here are a few quotes: 'My favourite part was the gun noise, as you could really experience how it would have felt during the war,' Zachary Cannon. 'I liked the special effects best, especially during the bombing scene,' Alex Kiddell.

Year 4 jokes
Why did the whale cross the road?
To get to the other tide.
Why do elephants have trunks?
They don't look good in bikinis.
Why did the skeleton go to the restaurant?
To get some spare ribs..
Why do golfers carry a spare sock?
Just in case they get a hole in one.
Why did Captain Hook cross the road?
To go to the Body Shop.
