The Daiglen School welcomes applications from all pupils regardless of race, religion, sex and disabilities.
Steps to follow if you wish to register your child for a place at The Daiglen School:
• Telephone the school office to ask for a prospectus or download from the website
• Having read the prospectus make an appointment to visit the School and discuss entrance with the Headteacher. The school is non-selective for entry into the nursery or reception classes. For entry into the school from Year One to Six we will ask you to bring your child for at least half a day, and he/she will have to take a Maths and English test after meeting the Class Teacher and Headteacher.
• Complete the Registration Form with the prospectus and enclose the non-refundable Registration Fee (£40). This will ensure that your child is placed on the waiting-list.
• On confirmation of a place we will ask you to pay a deposit of £1000. Half this amount will be deducted from the first term's fees, the remaining £500 will be applied against your child’s final terms fees when they reach Year 6. Once the deposit is paid it is not refundable, except as detailed above.
If you intend to withdraw your child from The Daiglen School it is essential that you follow the correct Withdrawal Procedure. This procedure is detailed on the Registration Form and involves giving a full term's notice in writing at the start of the term. Not doing so will result in paying fees in lieu of notice.
Please note that school fees are payable termly in advance or by a monthly instalment scheme (details available on request).
During all school holidays the School Office is regularly manned and parents are asked to leave their requests for interview on the telephone answering machine. Normally a reply can be expected within a few days.
