At The Daiglen School, we regard PSHCE as a key part of our pupils’ education and lessons are conducted weekly throughout the school. The curriculum is designed to extend children’s social awareness and confidence as well as encouraging their independence. We aim to produce responsible young citizens who lead confident, healthy and independent lives. PSHCE is evident in every aspect of life at Daiglen: care and consideration for others is shown through courtesy and good behaviour. Year 6 pupils have formal responsibilities and give good support to younger children: excellent work is celebrated and many of these areas are highlighted in assemblies. Pupils vote class representatives onto The School Council, which ensures that our children have the chance to express their views on school matters and work as a team to achieve their aims. Older children are involved in activities to learn life skills ranging from drug awareness to road safety.
