"Pupils are well organised, show initiative and co-operate extremely well with their peers when working in groups or pairs." ISI Inspection September 2010
In the Infant department, History is taught by looking at toys and homes in the past. Children learn about how people travelled and holidayed in previous generations. They learn about the lives of famous people, events and inventions.
In the Junior department, the emphasis is on British history starting with the Roman invasion, through the Vikings, Normans and Tudors to the Victorians and World War II. The Aztecs are also studied. All Year groups enjoy visits which enhance the curriculum, for example to The Museum of London, Shakespeare’s Globe and The Golden Hind, Bethnal Green Toy Museum and many others.
