In the Infants, Geography is taught through projects. Topics are related to the local area as well as the adventures of ‘Barnaby Bear’, who travels to various locations around the world.
Work on conservation and the skills of planning, mapping and use of signs are introduced. These are then built on and extended as pupils proceed through the Junior School.
In the Juniors, a scheme is followed which extends and challenges pupils to think about the world and their place in it. Termly topics such as Settlers, Mountains, Jamaica, Weather and Coasts are studied using a variety of stimulating methodology and a variety of learning outcomes. Wide use is made of multimedia study aids throughout the school.
